Banderas Bay is the gathering place for thousands of humpback whales and other marine mammals during winter and spring months. Humpbacks come to tropical waters to give birth and mate. During this time, they are playful, active and their calves are extremely curious. Tropical waters are full of a variety of wildlife. Did you know that during these months you can also watch dolphins, sea turtles and manta rays ? even sometimes orcas, sperm whales or bryde whales. ​ ​
